Job summary
Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an Electrical Supervisor to lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team and work in collaboration with the Electrical Maintenance Manager and Estates Operational Manager in order to deliver an optimised, robust, customer responsive and technically strong service, compliant with relevant policies and statutory directives.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, reliable and flexible, working as a key member of the Estates team. You will play a proactive role within a well-structured department with clear goals, delivering key objectives to meet both departmental and the wider Trusts requirements.

Main duties of the job
- To work with the Estates Operational Manager and Maintenance Managers in ensuring compliance of the direct labour team and contractual services with all relevant statutory, legal, non-statutory and regulatory guidance as applies to the Trust's operational estate.
- To support the Estates Operational Manager and Maintenance Managers in the effective monitoring of the Trust's backlog maintenance position, involving condition surveys, statutory inspections, PPMs etc. and assist in identify areas of potential improvement in the availability and reliability of the Trust's assets and built environment.
- To provide day to day management of the workshop staff. Using the Estates CAFM System, the post holder will ensure all day to day work is prioritised and controlled, will effectively allocate and deploy the multi-disciplinary trades staff across the Trust to carry out day to day repairs and statutory Planned Preventative Maintenance for buildings.
- To provide co-ordination and management to the multi-disciplinary workforce and as such the post holder will be required to work rostered overtime in rotation with the Maintenance Managers' as well asad-hoc overtime as required to meet the needs of the service.
- The post holder will be required to participate in the Estates Directorate's operations "on-call" rota.
- To attend training courses, both internal and external to the Trust as necessary for the post.
- To deliver training and toolbox talks to Trade staff.
