Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership, and overseeing line management of the Clinical Research Nurses, Practitioners and Clinical Trial Assistants (Research Delivery Team) working across the specialties in the Trust, championing and embedding Trust values. Working with the R&I Manager, the post holder will support the work of the department and region in delivering research to the highest standards, in alignment with the Trust's strategic direction across the South East sector and the core values of National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), from a national and local perspective (i.e. relevant research, inclusive involvement and exceptional experience).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have overarching responsibility for the management and delivery of research studies, in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure that studies are delivered to exceptionally high standards that incorporate Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards. The post holder will ensure that research and clinical care is delivered whilst utilising resources effectively and efficiently, continually reviewing the systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
The post holder will act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct at all times. They will demonstrate effective leadership, setting, monitoring and maintaining professional standards including revalidation, and uphold the Trust's values and behaviours.
