Working Full Time: 37.5 Hours Per Week
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Outpatient nurse manager to join our busy Outpatient departments at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate is required to be driven on delivering patient care and providing a quality service, and act appropriately to the changing needs of those accessing the service.
The Outpatient nurse manager will help assess, plan, and implement services within the department for staff and services users, and will provide clinical and managerial leadership to staff and students.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ongoing risks, governance and be able to regularly review risk registers, and make changes as necessary for the service.
If you are enthusiastic and have a passion for Outpatient nursing and the delivery of services and can demonstrate excellent leadership skills have a calm temperament who works well under pressure and have the ability to drive services, and good at problem solving this could be the job for you.

- Liaising with wider hospital teams to ensure working in collaboration

- Liaise with business support managers in providing a seamless service for Outpatients.
- To manage the nursing and admin teams within the department.
- Maintain and ensure professional and safe standards of care.
- Provide expert nursing and professional knowledge to assist in departmental initiatives.
- Ensures all Infection prevention and control principles are upheld within OPD setting.
- Be a visible leader within OPD areas, providing leadership which enables professional decision making and effective collaborative team working.
- Ensure safe staffing levels in clinics and take relevant action to remedy any problems,
- Ensure highest standards of conduct and customer service are upheld and take relevant action where necessary in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Ensure local policies are updated to reflect best practice national guidance.
- Monitor departmental performance against set criterion.
- Assist with the Business Group contribution to the Service Development Strategy.
- Uphold the Nursing and Midwifery Council code of conduct.
- Monitor and ensure patient satisfaction and be proactive in managing any issues identified.
- If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
