DTS Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
We are seeking an experienced DTS Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our small but growing team of dedicated IT professionals. We support the delivery of information technology and Telephony to around 5,500 NHS staff working at Stepping Hill Hospital and over 30 sites in the Stockport community.
Reporting to the DTS Infrastructure and Systems Manager, the DTS Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Trust's IT infrastructure systems.
Main duties of the job
The DTS Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a number of Digital Technology & Support Systems engineers. Design, implement, and maintain the Trust's IT infrastructure systems, including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, Windows 11, SCCM, Intune, and VMware Horizon.
This is a senior position in the department with responsibility for developing, managing, and motivating the Systems Engineers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills will be of equal importance to technical ability.

- Specialist knowledge across varies IT systems/solutions underpinned by the relevant experience
- A good understanding of all ITIL Management disciplines; in particular - Capacity, Availability, Security, Change, Release, Configuration and Problem Management
- Deep understanding of NHS IT standards and regulations, and experience in implementing them in IT infrastructure systems
- Strong project management
- Advanced knowledge of server, virtualisation and data storage technologies
- Experience in planning and executing IT infrastructure system upgrades and migrations

- Familiarity with IT security policies and procedures, and experience in implementing security measures in IT infrastructure systems
