Nurse Team Manager - Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre

Job summary

We are recruiting for a Nurse Team Managerwho shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre is an 18 chaired outpatient facility where we specialise in the safe and compassionate administration of chemotherapy, biological therapies, immunotherapies and other anti-cancer treatments. We see a broad group of patients undergoing both curative and palliative treatments for a range of different cancer types

This is a full-time position with a shift pattern of 3 shifts 8:00am - 6:00pm and1 shift 8:00am - 5:30pm.

Demonstrable chemotherapy experience essential.

In addition, you will receive a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job

You would be joining an experienced and supportive team and have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of professionals including chemotherapy nurses, advanced nurse practitioners and medical oncology consultants.

The successful applicant will need to be a registered nurse with an interest in oncology and experience in the administration of systemic anti-cancer therapies to work in our friendly cancer day unit. Experience in a nursing leadership role will also be required.

Experience of chemotherapy administration, venepuncture and cannulation and leadership is essential for this Nurse Team Manager post.
