Job summary

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Endoscopy who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The post holder will participate as a member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team in providing high standards of evidence based care. They willprovide care, support and advice for patients, relatives and carers undergoing Endoscopic procedures.

The registered nurse will work and communicate with the Endoscopy coordinator to organise the Endoscopy list on a daily basis, planning the session in a timely and efficient way and be able to efficiently take charge of a session in the Endoscopy unit.

This role involves cross-site working between Lister Hospital in Stevenage and the QEII Hospital in Welwyn.

In this role the post holder will participate in and manage the out of hours element of a 24/7 Emergency on-call service. Bank Holidays and weekends are also supported with an on-call service 24/7.

Main duties of the job

To participate as a member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team in providing high standards of evidence based care.

Provide care, support and advice for patients, relatives and carers undergoing Endoscopic procedures.

The post holder will work and communicate with the Endoscopy coordinator to organise the Endoscopy list on a daily basis, planning the session in a timely and efficient way.

To be able to efficiently take charge of a session in the Endoscopy unit.

Support and supervise junior, or non-registered staff and students working in Endoscopy. To develop ones knowledge and competencies in line with your JETS Endoscopy profile.
