Job summary
We are recruiting for a Capital Projects Officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
This Project Officer position sits within the Estates and Facilities, Capital Projects Team, supporting senior Project Managers and other members of the wider Estates and facilities Team in the delivery of a variety of Capital Development, Refurbishment and Estates Backlog Maintenance projects.
The Post offers the opportunity to develop Project Management skills and the chance to work with clinical and operational teams in improving the patient and staff environment across the Trust. Depending on progress, the post holder will be expected to work independently, with supervision, on delegated schemes across construction disciplines throughout Trust premises.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be supported and managed by a line management and be responsible for supporting and leading a defined set of interdependent projects and the associated business case activities.
The Capital Projects Officer will have delegated authority for the successful delivery of the required outcomes, including the establishment of appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues and helping to ensure the delivery of schemes.
Support the management of the whole lifecycle of a capital project, ensuring excellent governance throughout.
Work in partnership with members of the capital estates team to support the management and delivery of projects.
Work autonomously, providing high quality, accurate and timely project support to the capital project team.
Arrange meetings with other providers and key internal and external stakeholders from across the system.
