Job summary

We are recruiting for a Occupational Health Clinical Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The Occupational health Clinical Assistant will work with minimal supervision in supporting the health at work service in the delivery of high-quality occupational health and wellbeing services that are accessible, inclusive, and efficient.

The role will include taking blood samples, conducting health screening and health checks, maintaining accurate confidential health records, and promoting workplace health and wellbeing.

In addition, you will receive a High-Cost Area Supplement of 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of£1,303 and a maximum payment of £2,198 per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job

Safely and efficiently take appropriate blood samples in accordance with standard procedures.

Undertake confidential, impartial health screening of new employees with support from qualified practitioners.

Accurately assess and offer advice on occupational immunisation requirements in accordance with national guidelines and local policy and procedures.

Participate in the planning, promotion, delivery and evaluation of wellbeing promotion events and initiatives.

Accurately undertake and record health check such as blood pressure, height, weight, and cholesterol. Identify abnormal results in accordance with national guidelines and report to a registered practitioner where appropriate.

Offer clear, compassionate, evidence-based health promotion advice in accordance with national guidelines and local procedures.
