We are looking for for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Epilepsy who is passionate about providing outstanding care, improving health outcomes, and reducing health inequalities.

You will support, manage and coordinate clinical follow-up programmes working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an accessible and robust service for all children and young people with epilepsy.
Manage the clinical caseload, providing highly specialist nursing input and continuity of care to children and young people with epilepsy, focusing on self-management, attendance, and the treatment monitoring, as well as preparation and liaison for transition to adult services.
Ensure each patient is assessed, and their care planned, implemented, and evaluated in negotiation with the patient, carers, and other healthcare professionals accurately and ensure this is communicated and documented.
To provide expert nursing support and provide advice, education, counselling to support to patients and families, either virtually, via telephone or face to face. Providing practical and emotional support to patients and families in a tailored and timely manner.
To meet with patients and their families as required to help resolve their concerns, providing written responses to formal complaints as required by the Divisional Manager.
