The Financial Accounts team are recruiting for an ambitious, motivated, and enthusiastic individual as Technical Accountant to support our department and our key operational and clinical stakeholders to help deliver the best care for our patients.
The Technical Accountant will report directly to the Deputy Financial Controller and will prepare accurate and robust balance sheet reconciliations, as well as the monitoring and maintenance of the complete control account register. Other tasks include working closely with Shared Business Services (SBS) - the Trust's out-sourced Ledger and Finance Services provider, assisting with audit queries and ad hoc presentation of information as required, as well as maintaining a robust control regime.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will prepare accurate and robust balance sheet reconciliations, as well as the monitoring and maintenance of the complete control account register. Other tasks include working closely with Shared Business Services (SBS) - the Trust's out-sourced Ledger and Finance Services provider, assisting with audit queries and ad hoc presentation of information as required, as well as maintaining a robust control regime.
The post holder will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be confident in the use of Microsoft Excel, and accounting and reporting systems to a high standard.
You will provide support to the Deputy Financial Controller in the planning and completion of monthly returns for review by theSenior Finance team prior to submission to the Regulator and the Trust Board.
You will also be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge on how to use the Oracle Financial System in order to be able to offertraining to members of the finance team and in depth help & assistance to other users.
