Job summary

Applications are invited for various posts, including an exciting two-year junior clinical fellow Trust training rotation which includes experience of a combination of surgical specialties across the following specialties: General Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery and ENT.

These are fantastic opportunities for successful candidates to gain experience of working within different fields.

1 x Junior Clinical Fellow in Vascular Surgery post, 12 month term1 x Junior Clinical Fellow in General Surgery (F1 equivalent) post, 12 month termAll posts are based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage and are full time.

Main duties of the job

The Junior Clinical Fellows will have opportunities to further their knowledge through exposure to clinics, operating lists (elective and emergency), ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings and formal teaching. The post holders will be encouraged to participate in audits, presentations and teachings. Although, these posts are not recognised for training the appointees will be encouraged in their training and development within the role. These posts are considered to be beneficial in preparation for membership exams (MRCS), successful entry to national training programmes (HST) and career grade posts.
