The Pharmacy Team at East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and driven individual who has experience in procurement to lead a team and be the responsible person for the pharmacy purchasing and distribution services. You will also have the exciting agendas of Sustainability, Transformation and Digital innovation in your job role; You must have a very good awareness of financial and NHS Procurement processes.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the efficient procurement of all pharmaceuticals/ drugs and ensure that appropriate polices/ procedures are in place.
To work collaboratively with other NHS Trusts to develop and achieve the NHS Transformation and Sustainability Plans for the Trust.
To be the lead negotiator for the Trust with companies on all matters relating to the pricing and purchasing of pharmaceutical products. This includes ensuring that the best price is obtained and that supply arrangements are not compromised.
To ensure systems are in place and working optimally to ensure all contract lines, patient access schemes and other approved discount schemes are utilised and maximised.
To be the designated Responsible Person named on the MHRA Wholesale Dealers Licence responsible for:
Ensuring the provisions of the licence are observed. Ensuring the guidelines on Good Distribution Practice (GDP) are complied with.
Ensuring an adequate quality system is established and maintained
