We are recruiting for an Advanced Oncology Pharmacist - Clinical Services who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
As the Advanced Pharmacist for Clinical Services you will lead, manage and develop the operational pharmacy services to ensure that patients receive safe, high quality and clinical effective pharmaceutical care.
You will be supported to develop their leadership and management skills.Candidates who do not meet all the essential and desirable criteria are welcome to apply for this role and a Band 7 to Band 8A developmental role will be offered.
In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary,15% of basic salary,subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436.

Main duties of the job
Lead, manage and develop the clinical pharmacy services to ensure that patients receive safe, high quality and clinical effective pharmaceutical care.
You will provide a specialist and patient focused oncology pharmacy service to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre whilst being based in the oncology outpatient clinic areas, the day care units and the inpatient wards at the cancer centre on a rotational basis
To be an active member of both the oncology pharmacy team and the oncology out-patients team and inpatient wards to help meet the overall strategic objectives of the teams in the provision of pharmaceutical care for cancer patients.
Apply specialist knowledge to a designated patient group to develop pharmacist prescribing role, undertaking the clinical management and drug treatment of patients under an agreed clinical management plan following diagnosis by a medical practitioner.
You will promote the safe, clinically effective and cost-effective use of medicines by providing expert advice on oncology pharmacy issues including clinical, funding, and prescribing issues
As a member of pharmacy management team to help deliver a strategic vision for the pharmacy department and business plan in line with cancer centre and trust strategies.
