We are recruiting for aRegisteredNurse - Chemotherapy who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Chemotherapy Day Unit treats both male and female patients with a wide variety of systemic anti cancer therapies. The unit is currently opened Monday to Friday and we work closely with other units one on site and one at our acute trust site.
Mount Vernon is one of the largest single site Cancer Centres in England and is an innovative and exciting place to work. In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job
You will provide a high quality service of care to patients and significant others and to promote a good learning environment. Supporting the Senior Nurse for Chemotherapy Services in all aspects of that role, as well as the other members of the team.
You willbe aware of resource management and to provide effective links within the Trust and undertake and assist in the safe administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal anti-bodies within the Oncology. Haematology client group, Whilst also providing on-going support to patients and their carers.
You will ensure that nursing care within the chemotherapy unit is a high standard and in accordance with hospital polices, procedures and standards and adheres to the Units philosophy.
You will contribute to the improvement of services.
