Job summary
We are recruiting for an Equipment Library Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will be responsible for achieving high efficiency in day to day operation of equipment library. You will be expected to have office skills with a customer service mindset and attention to details to be successful in this position.

Main duties of the job
o Deliver medical equipment to various wards departments as requestedo Collect equipment from different wards on a daily basiso Maintain accurate records of equipment availability, usage and locations using the data baseo Ensure that all equipment are clean and ready for use in the libraryo Maintain minimum levels of stock in the equipment libraryo Record and monitor transactions of equipment from the libraryo Respond to inquiries and requests from healthcare staff regarding equipment availabilityo Adhere to trust policies and NHS guidelineso Report equipment faults, damages or discrepancies to appropriate personnel for further actionso Work Closely with different teams for efficient and effective service deliveryo Support in Periodic quality audits for stocko Identify equipment held by the Medical Equipment Library by sight, name, type and by the common or 'nick name' given by the User areas,
o Plan and prioritise workload according to the Library job sheets, adjusting priorities over the day depending on availability of equipment and requests made. Inform line manager if unable to prioritise without compromising the MEL service.
o Operate the equipment database E quip including booking equipment in and out, searching the database and processing and printing reports using Excel
