Job summary
We are recruiting for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic SSD/EDD Training Officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to ensure that all sterile services staff are fully equipped with the skill and knowledge needed to maintain highest standards of sterilisation and infection control. Your expertise will help to ensure that our patients receive safe and effective care.

Main duties of the job
Be responsible for the education and development of all staff including new staff across full departmental shift patterns.
Required to teach and educate decontamination staff to enable achievement of competencies within both sterile services and endoscopy decontamination in accordance with current regulations.
Required to devise and maintain educational strategies to ensure continued professional development of all decontamination staff
To provide collaborative link between all areas with Sterile Services and Endoscopy decontamination and the development of protocols for the recognition and management of the QMS processes
Required to act independently and work unsupervised to manage own workload, referring to the line manager as necessary
Support the SSD Manager with the maintenance of records for the SSD Quality Management System in line with required UK MDR and ISO 13485 accreditation.
