Applications are invited for a 6-months fixed term Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This post is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage and comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs) with an on-call commitment.

This is an excellent opportunity within the Plastic Surgery department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

The Trust has a comprehensive programme of leadership mentoring available for newly qualified Consultants. Opportunities are also available to other Consultant appointees to play an active part in the programme.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will be expected to cover clinical sessions specified in the provisional job plan, as below. The appointee will join a team of eight consultants, three specialty doctors and a full complement of junior and support staff. The ability to work closely and flexibly with colleagues including consultants, junior staff and management team is an essential requirement for this appointment.
