Senior Clinical Fellow in Rheumatology

Job summary

We have 1 fixed term appointment available for 6 months for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Rheumatology based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.

This is an excellent opportunity within the Rheumatology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The appointee would be an active member of the Department of Rheumatology, participating in weekly departmental educational and management meetings, audit, teaching of medical students and post-graduate presentations. The appointee will undertake three rheumatology outpatient clinics per week, see rheumatology ward referrals, undertake GIM ward rounds and contribute to the GIM on-call rota. A provisional job plan is attached. The rheumatology team has 4 full time consultants and one locum consultant as well as 6 rheumatology specialist nurses. A dedicated OT and PT have recently been appointed to support our early arthritis and biologics services. The appointee will be based at Lister hospital and does not have commitments at other Trust sites.

Main duties of the job

Maintenance of high-quality patient centred care. Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning. Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service. Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity. Active participation in continuing medical education
