We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 6 Sepsis nurse to work within our busy sepsis team. We aim to ensure the best care for patients with sepsis across the Trust.

This role is crucial in developing a Trust wide culture of delivering excellent care to patients with sepsis to achieve maximum survival andimproved patient experience. This role includes multidisciplinary working with our Trust Critical Care Outreach team, Resuscitation team, Acute Kidney Injury team, as well as other specialist nurses.

Main duties of the job

The sepsis team proactively monitor patients for deterioration, screen for sepsis and be confident to intervene and commence treatment with the sepsis six when indicated.

The successful candidate will have a determined attitude and willingness to drive quality improvement using data collection, audit, and clinical input.

Education and teaching experience is desirable as a proportion of the role is to educate staff at the bedside and within the classroom to promote best sepsis education for our nursing and medical colleagues.
