Job summary

We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Workers who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of patient care.

We currently have CSW opportunities in the following areas:

  • Acute areas such as AMU- Fast paced assessment centre for inpatients to decide their pathway into acute services or Emergency Department.
  • 5A-covering a variety of different specialities ranging from Ear Nose and Throat, plastics and Female surgical ward.
  • Barley Ward- Stroke Ward with a focus on rehabilitation

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be:

Some of the responsibilities within the role of Clinical Support Worker are:

  • Communicating with patients
  • Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Washing / dressing patients
  • Taking patients physiological observations
  • Making beds and cleaning bed areas
  • Serving meals and assisting feeding patients
  • Talking / listening to patients

This is a training post, while applicants must undertake 16 months apprenticeship. When undertaking the apprenticeship you will be expected to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

We have vacancies across all our divisions, which include planned and unplanned. All Clinical Support Workers are based on Hospital Wards / Departments and will be working Days, Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays.
