Job summary
We are recruiting for a Medical Rostering Co-Ordinator -Junior Doctorswho shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Medical Rostering Co-Ordinator will manage the rotas for our consultants and junior doctors within Unplanned Care and working closely with the Rostering Co-Ordinator for the Emergency Department.
The post holder will work closely with the clinical and operational teams to ensure that all areas of the service are covered.
This will include working with agencies and our resourcing team to source locums to cover gaps within the rota.
The post holder will need to be up to date with developments in rostering and temporary staffing systems and the political landscape in relation to expectations regarding the use of systems and the deployment of Temporary Staff from NHS Employers and NHS Improvement i.e. Levels of Attainment. They will have a constant drive to ensure that systems are being fully utilised to provide safe and efficient staffing cover across the organisation.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating administration ofthe medical staffing on-call rotas within the Medical Team using Medical Health Roster compliant rotas.
Ensure medical teams have the appropriate medical cover during annual intake and the changeover dates throughout the training year in order to maintain patient care.
Management of the Physician of the Day rota (General Medicine on call)
The Medical Rostering Co-Ordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Medical Staff rotas, and to assist the Medical Staffing team in providing timely reporting and expert advice to managers.
The post holder will also assist with the management of sickness, annual leave, study leave and special leave for all medical staff identifying and escalating risks with input and support from the Consultants, Senior registers and the leadership team.
