Job summary

We are recruiting for a Receptionist/Admin Support who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our administrative team within the Cardiology Department at Lister Hospital for a period of maternity leave cover.

We are looking for a part time candidate with excellent interpersonal skills, dedication and the confidence to deal with a wide range of matters with diplomacy. An understanding of the NHS is essential, together with advanced IT skills.

Patient administration experience, experience in working with people and the ability to adapt to change while managing and prioritising a heavy workload, in a fast developing environment is essential.

The role will include weekend working on a rota basis

Main duties of the job

The Receptionist/Admin Support will provide efficient administrative support and reception duties in all aspects of the department's work as directed by the Admin Supervisor. This includes , dealing with patient enquiries and supporting the admin team. To be able to prioritise own workload & work independently using initiative and deal with frequent interruptions is essential.
