Job summary

We are recruiting for aSenior Medical Workforce Advisorwho shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

This job share role is based within the Medical Workforce team to ensure a proactive, high quality and efficient support with all aspects of the ongoing management of medical staff within the Trust. This will involve co-ordinating key administration processes for all aspects of medical workforce and providing specialist advice on a wide range of day-to-day queries for a specific division.

Working independently, but within a supportive team environment, you will routinely work to tight timescales with competing deadlines so a proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise a demanding workload is essential. You will liaise with medical staff at all levels, with other senior Trust staff and external bodies, so good interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Medical staffing/medical education or previous HR experience in a related role is required.

The post is due to start in December. We are supportive of flexible working arrangements and will endeavour to support these where we can. The post does not have a set working pattern, with an aim of agreeing this upon appointment. Please contact the line manager for further information.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within the Medical Workforce team to ensure a proactive, high quality and efficient support to the Trust's medical and dental workforce.

This will involve co-ordinating key administration processes for all aspects of medical workforce and providing specialist advice on a wide range of day-to-day medical workforce queries for a specific division as well as providing the day-to-day advice on the sub-specialty areas designated to that work stream and day to day advice on medical workforce related policies.

The post holder will deliver a high quality and effective workforce planning to a number of business units and departments, ensuring that quality standards are maintained.

They will also deliver rota templates (not including consultants) which maximise the available resource and are compliant with Working Time Regulations (WTR), contractual requirements and local Trust rules. The postholder will also support the medical workforce aspect administration of job planning for doctors.
