Job summary

We are recruiting for a Senior Audiologist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The key responsibility of the role will be to perform diagnostic testing on all patient groups and to provide effective hearing aid rehabilitation and an on-going maintenance service.

As a department we put an emphasis on the development of our staff and regularly send members of our team on external training courses.

This vacancy is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in more than just the core audiology work and training is available for staff to develop their interests in Adult Rehabilitation, Tinnitus Retraining Therapy and Vestibular Assessment.

We are a busy service providing a range of services including:

Full diagnostic support and rehabilitation services to 5 ENT consultants & 1 Audiological Physician.

Direct Access Hearing Aid Clinics

Balance Assessment Clinics using Caloric & ENG / VNG testing

Tinnitus clinics

Dedicated paediatric clinics

Main duties of the job

We offer a wide range of services across 3 Hospital Sites in Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City & Hertford and satellite sites including:Full diagnostic support and rehabilitation services to 5 ENT consultants & 1 Audiological Physician.Direct Access Hearing Aid ClinicsBalance Assessment Clinics using Caloric & ENG / VNG testingTinnitus clinicsDedicated paediatric clinics including VRA / ABR/ Steady State / OAENHSPThe department provides a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative service to the population of East & North Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. The Audiology department operates a number of services including adult hearing aid service, diagnostic vestibular and children's assessments.Applicants must hold a BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualifications. Experience within adult rehab & diagnostics is essential and paediatric audiology is preferred. Applicants should also have, or be able to achieve RCCP registration, and membership of BAA while not essential is desirable.The ability to attend Satellite clinics is essential.Actual duties will depend on relevant experience - demonstrable experience in Tinnitus and hearing aid rehabilitation preferred.
