Job summary

We are recruiting for a Paediatric Practice Facilitator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for personal development as the successful candidate will be assisting in the clinical development of staff across paediatrics, working closely with staff to achieve their competencies and deliver in-house training.

It is essential that you have extensive Nursing experience, sound clinical knowledge underpinned by evidence of theoretical understanding. Experience in general paediatrics and the emergency care process. Evidence of providing learning support; knowledge of change management theories; experience of implementing changes in practice are also essential. Candidates should have a passion for nurse development, clinical excellence and staff wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

The predominant part of the role will be to maintain a high level of visibility within the clinical areas, building positive relationships, and maintaining excellent communication and organisational skills.

Supporting the delivery and achievement of the workforce development and sustainability strategy in line with the nursing objectives and will work closely with the clinical facilitator to develop and maintain the uptake of education and training.

The role will assist staff to achieve advanced clinical skills and advice, demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of Paediatric patients.

You will monitor and help implement improvements to standards of care through supervision of practice, competencies, evidence-based care, teaching and supporting professional colleagues.

Candidates are also required to have knowledge of current developments in nursing practice, clinical governance, standard setting and quality assurance. With excellent understanding of clinical and professional requirements, according to external policies/ standards andexternal bodies (NMC etc).
