Job summary
We are recruiting for a Clerical Radiology Department Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
This is a part-time vacancy 30 hours per week receptionist to work at our busy radiology Department at the QEII Hospital in Welwyn.
The main duties are reception, processing patient requests and general admin. You will play an important role in contributing to patient care and offering a quality service. We have computerised information systems so a large part of the role is accurate data input.This is a demanding but interesting role in a busy department. The RDA team is friendly and hard working. To fit into this job role you must be experienced in dealing with the public and have accurate keyboard and data input skills. Some experience of office and/or reception work is required. Previous work in a hospital would be an advantage but is not essential.

Main duties of the job
To provide reception services in the Radiology Department
To provide the highest quality administrative services
To support other team members
Providing a welcoming, caring and efficient service
Greeting patients, checking ID, demographics and accuracy of hospital records
Booking on computer arrival of patients with appointments and walk-in patients - patients may have electronic or paper requests - in accordance with procedures for location
