Job summary

We are recruiting for a Chronic Kidney Disease CNS who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You should be a recognised expert in the specialty, responsible for assessing, developing and implementing specialist nursing care programmes and undertaking specialist nursing procedures.

As a registered nurse and role model part of your role will be to mentor and supervise others including students and to support your colleagues in delivering excellent quality patient centred care.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must have significant CKD/AKC experience demonstrating an ability to work autonomously. Effectively manage your own AKC nurse led clinics. You must also demonstrate organisational, interpersonal and management skills particular to the care of renal patients

Responsible for providing specialist advice and support to, and liaising with, other staff. This includes the provision of specialist education and training for other staff and students responsible for implementing a clearly defined integrated approach to patient care encompassing new treatments and evidence based care.

Required to undertake research and lead clinical audits in own specialist area.
