Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within the Therapy Department at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust for an individual with a passion to make a difference to people on our inpatient wards based at Watford General Hospital.
This post would suit an individual with an interest in helping patients regain function, facilitating discharges and being involved in equipment ordering to help patients become more independent and enable them to leave hospital.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, dedicated team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to maintain and improve our service.
The post holder may be expected to accompany Occupational Therapists on home and access visits in the community in addition to being mainly based on the hospital wards helping patients and facilitating discharges from the hospital.

- Good general education up to GCSE level.

- Level 2 Functional skills in English and Maths; GCSE A* - C or 4 - 9 or willingness to work towards.
- 3 A-Levels OR Health and Science T-Level OR Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support OR other relevant Level 3 qualifications.
Knowledge:
Essential
- Understanding of the role and responsibilities of an occupational therapy assistant in an acute hospital.
- Understanding and commitment to a caring approach to patients & relatives.
