Job summary
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our Outpatients Department at Watford General Hospital.
West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust operates across three sites--Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, and Watford and although this role is primarily based at Watford Outpatients, you may occasionally be required to travel or work across sites depending on service needs.
This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday. The role is daytime only, with no night duties required. Working hours may vary based on service requirements and may include different start and finish times.
Our Outpatients Department covers a broad range of medical and surgical specialties, and previous experience in an Outpatients setting is desirable.

Main duties of the job
To assist and chaperone with patients who are attending clinics in the Outpatients Department.
To set up and oversee clinics of varied specialities.
To assist the Registered Nurse with specified clinical activities.
Under the supervision of the Registered nurse prepare and undertake agreed clinical activities with patients in clinics.
To prepare and maintain the environment for clinical activity.
To ensure to maintain the privacy, dignity and individuality of the patients at all times.
To be flexible in the performance of the post, particularly regarding clinics, hours and OPD site, and to carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by senior staff.
