Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a well-organized and effective individual to join our team of Buyers, providing low-value but high-volume purchasing services across all member Trusts.
In this role, you will directly assist the Transactional Buying Team Manager in achieving the future vision of the Tactical and Transactional Buying service.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Public Sector procurement, particularly in relation to low-value, high-volume tactical buying operations and procurement projects.
Main duties of the job
The Tactical and Transactional Buyer role will directly report into the Transactional Buying Team Manager, and will be responsible for:
o Providing consistent, standard transactional buying of low value, high volume goods and services using aligned policies, processes and procurement systems.
o Undertaking and supporting tactical procurements as allocated by the Tactical Buying Team Manager, to support the Procurement Team.
o Actioning requisitions and producing orders to external companies as and when required.
o Assisting with the achievement of all purchasing and supply strategies.
