Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit Theatre Support Workers who will play an integral role at all stages of a patient's perioperative journey.
As a Theatre Support Worker, you will be a valuable part of the Theatre team.
As communication and basic numeracy are essential for this role, you will be required to successfully pass an assessment test as part of the selection process.
You will have the opportunity to undertake a Healthcare apprenticeship qualification. On completion of passing this qualification you will be moved to a Band 3.
We are recruiting for full time positions covering a 12-hour day, 5-day a week.
Please note we cannot accommodate set shift patterns.

Act as a team member within the theatre structure and assist with a high standard of patient care.
Undertake and obtain competencies as required by the needs of the department.
This role is advertised for and based at St. Albans City Hospital but you may be required work across all WHTHT sites and areas.
Every successful candidate upon acceptance of the role will start on the Band 2 pay scale and progress to the Band 3 pay scale only upon successful completion of the provided Healthcare Certificate.
Any successful candidate who has proof of previous completion will be considered for the Band 3 role once assessed.
