Job summary
A part-time opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join a friendly and forward thinking Outpatient Physiotherapy department, based at our Jacketts Field, Abbots Langley site.
You will be part of a busy, friendly Outpatient Physiotherapy Department, where you will be supported, in this role, through a well-established supervision process. Robust training support will be provided.
You will not only undertake service administration, you will also be actively involved in supporting your Physiotherapy colleagues in delivering face to face direct patient care, and in delegated class/group based clinical activities.
Interviews will be scheduled for 18th of December.
Main duties of the job
To work in an outpatient-based setting, supporting Physiotherapy colleagues (musculoskeletal and pelvic health), and assisting patients to complete their treatment, teaching and progressing when necessary, individually and in groups, and to prepare the environment and equipment.
To maintain stock and equipment levels including stock take, cleaning, recycling, reordering.
Support admin & clerical staff with a range of duties which includes but is not limited to telephone enquiries, referral registration, appointment booking, clinic diary management, discharging, filing, photocopying/printing.
To assist with and share receptionist duties for the department.
To participate in an extended hours and 7 day working pattern, once/if implemented.
To provide admin support (as requested) to the private patient physiotherapy service, if/as appropriate.

The service offers Total Knee Replacement Classes, Lower Limb Classes, Wrist Classes, pre and post prosthetic limb amputee classes. The successful applicant will be actively involved in the delivery of these groups / classes / and any groups or classes introduced in the future.
The post holder would also assist in chaperoning, where appropriate, and after relevant training.

Education and qualifications:
Essential
- Care Certificate or City and Guilds 3 or NVQ 3 or BTEC National Diploma OR equivalent experience.
- No HCPC required.
Desirable
- Level 2 Functional skills in English and Maths; GCSE A* - C or 4 - 9 or willingness to work towards.
- 3 A-Levels OR Health and Science T Level OR equivalent Level 3 qualifications / apprenticeship.
- Evidence of recent study in field of health care and/or rehabilitation.
Knowledge:
Essential
- Understanding of the administrative role.
- Understanding of the Physiotherapy role.
- Competent IT skills, e.g. Word processing tasks etc.
Desirable
- Knowledge of local services for onward referrals.
- Use of clinical applications (IT/EPR).
Experience:
Essential
- NHS experience.
- Previously held an administrative post, demonstrating strong and effective administrative processes.
- Experience working and providing care in an exercise-focused or health-related setting.
Desirable
- Previous Therapy assistant experience.
