Job summary

We have a Senior Theatre Practitioner position that has become available.

You will need in depth knowledge of a variety of ENT surgery.

Considerable experience within the ENT speciality as a Band 6 scrub practitioner or scrub experience as Band 5.

Commitment to clinical effectiveness and evidence-based care.

Good communicational skills.

Effective team working.

Other experience in other specialities will be seen as a bonus.

Working days are Monday to Friday.Full details will be discussed at interview.Shifts are 08:00 to 21:00 for long days, 37.5 hours per week.Flexible days.

Main duties of the job

To Share and teach juniors your knowledge of ENT.

Provide leadership and supervision for theatre support workers, nursing, midwifery and ODP students, junior theatre staff, return to practice nurses and adaptation students.

Develop and promote good working relationships within the wider team.

Promote patient, staff and relatives' safety at all times and be familiar with current Health & Safety policies reporting any concerns to Team Leader or Theatre Manager.

To take charge of the Theatre during the absence of Team Leader.

To participate in discussions relating to care and its delivery and evaluation with other members of the MDT.

Provide clinical support to peers.
