Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Neurologist to join our Neurology Team. The successful candidate will join an innovative established team of Consultants, Specialist Registrars and Specialist Nurses providing outpatient and inpatient care.
The post-holder will work with colleagues to support and develop Neurology services for the local population The successful candidate will be expected to work across our sites including St Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead General Hospital.
Applicants must have full GMC registration. MRCP (UK) is desirable.
Main duties of the job
This post is for a fixed-term whole time equivalent substantive Consultant in Neurology based at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidates will be expected to work across our three sites, Watford General Hospital, Hemel Hempstead General Hospital and St Albans City Hospital. As we are lead provider for Diabetes within Herts Valley area, the postholder may also need to carry out Diabetes clinics at one of our community sites across the area.
Duties include approximately 6 outpatient clinics per week; intermittent inpatient care for GIM patients, electronic triaging, and advice & guidance.
