The expansion of the Improvement team means there is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Senior Improvement advisor.
The team is leading the Trust on its quality improvement journey.
This position offers an opportunity for an individual with experience in improvement to contribute to taking WHHT to a new level of achievement and to embed QI into the culture at WHHT.
The post-holder will be required to have experience of using QI methodology to achieve improvement, have knowledge and experience of facilitating others to use Quality Improvement methodologies and teaching experience.
They will serve as an advocate for Quality Improvement across the Trust and provide expertise, advice, education and support to ensure that improvements are delivered effectively and for the benefits of patients and staff.

Main duties of the job
The post has a key role in supporting the Trust to meet its vision of incorporating quality improvement into our culture, our way of working, and supporting organisational change.
The team collaborates with the divisions to facilitate the use of QI methodology for improvement workstreams. The team is responsible for developing the Trust QI capability.
The post holder needs to be able to work autonomously and to support teams to deliver on project plans. Good communication skills, and the ability to build relationship with staff from across the Trust is essential. The ability to work with uncertainty and in changing circumstances is required.
The post holder is required to have leadership experience demonstrating the ability to line manage, coach, and develop colleagues.
The Trust supports flexible working. This post holder is required to work on site at Watford and to travel to both St Albans and Hemel Hospital.
Regular home working is not appropriate for this role; however, occasional home working may be considered when it supports service delivery.
