Join our growing Admin and Clerical Team!
Our service is growing, and we are excited to announce upcoming opportunities to join our Radiology Clerical team. The positions will have a main base at St Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital, with opportunities to work across all or main Hospital sites.
This role is perfect for those with strong communication skills who thrive in a close-knit team environment while also collaborating with a wide range of professionals across our hospitals.
As part of this team, you'll provide vital administrative and clerical support for all imaging services.
If you have experience in a customer-facing role and are interested in a rewarding NHS career, focused on patient support, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Working patterns will be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
Welcoming patients and service users to the department.
Booking patients in for their examinations and directing to the relevant sub waiting areas.
Arranging Imaging appointments in line with clinical pathway targets.
Answering telephone queries and other general clerical duties.

Education and qualifications:
Essential
- GCSE qualification (Maths, English, IT).
- NVQ3 Customer Care or equivalent experience in a customer facing environment or a willingness to work towards an NVQ3.
Knowledge:
Essential
- Competent in Microsoft Office programs.
- Understanding of information governance issues and how to manage confidential patient information and Data Protection Act.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems, e.g. CRIS, Clinicom, EPR & CERNER.
- Understanding the Trust's policy on equality/diversity and Health & Safety policies.
Experience:
