Job summary
The Clinical Apps & Medical Devices Manager will be responsible for leading the Clinical Applications support team, as well as providing expertise on Medical Devices connectivity with various IT systems across the Trust.
They will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to users of our Clinical Applications and the links to other IT systems within the Trust and the departments who support them. (Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy...etc).
The post holder must have good IT application support knowledge/experience. This will require an understanding of the clinical systems, printing and medical devices.
Main duties of the job
To be provide day to day management and leadership of the Clinical Applications team. Providing 1st and 2nd line support to users across the trust.
Ensure the IT Service Desk Incident and Request queues are monitored daily and high priority incidents actioned as appropriate.
Create and maintain user guides, application support processes surrounding the core clinical applications.
SME on IT related issues relating to Medical Devices that integrate with our Clinical Applications.
Supporting the wider EPR development and integration teams with EPR device integration.
Provide specialist advice as required, working with software suppliers and Atos to assess software, network and hardware requirements as necessary.
General troubleshooting of Medical Device related IT issues.
Ensuring cross cover for other clinical applications as required.
