The Dermatology Department has an exciting and varied role for a Dermatology Biopsy Scheduler on a fixed term full-time basis.
This vacancy requires interaction with patients, GPs, Consultants, and team members.

Main duties of the job
This role is based at Watford General Hospital. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical service to the Dermatology Consultants, Nurses, and administrative staff.
You will act as a central point to ensure patients receive their biologic medication in a timely fashion.

Job responsibilities
To deal with telephone enquiries from GPs, patients, and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner to ensure that appropriate messages are passed onto the relevant people in a timely fashion. To communicate highly sensitive information to patients / consultants.
Additionally you may be required to:
- To act as Biopsy Scheduler for the booking of dermatology biopsies and day case surgery at Watford General Hospital.
- To cover periods of leave or absence of Biopsy Scheduler based at Hemel Hempstead and St Albans.
- To code all dermatology procedures and nurse led activity.
- Managing biopsy room planner.
- Managing waiting lists for our longest waiters
- You will need to cancel/rebook Dermatology biopsy lists when necessary
You will also cover periods of leave or absence of within the team for other roles when required as well as cover at Hemel Hempstead and St Albans.
Experienced and committed, you will provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to the Consultants and multi-disciplinary team.
