Job summary

An exciting opportunity has risen for a Band 6 Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse Position, within Gade ward, Watford General Hospital. Gade ward is a 17 bedded, Rheumatology ward. We are looking for a motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic individual, to support the Ward Sister and the specialty team in delivering exceptional care to our patients.

You would be expected to demonstrate key skills such as excellent communication, effective leadership, and good interpersonal skills along with sound clinical knowledge and skills.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work alongside the Ward Manager and as a part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, compassionate care to our patients, role model the high standards of patient care, mentor and support students and other members of the team thereby improve the overall patient and relative experience.

You will be a visible team leader on the floor working to help provide staff with learning and development opportunities. As part of multidisciplinary care of the patient, you are expected to be in constant liaison with various teams, departments, and health care settings.
