Job summary

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trusts Learning and Development department is responsible for the provision of a Learning Management System (LMS) that meets the needs of its 10,000 employees.

This post has responsibility for the system development and insight reporting for all learning databases and systems. The Learning System and Data specialist is tasked with the support and maintenance of all digital learning databases that are hosted by the Trust including the development of new solutions to ensure a digital platform to host learning and continuous professional development is available across all divisions.

The LMS is built using mainly HTML, CSS and Java Script technology and so the post holder should possess excellent knowledge of this technology and act as the departments Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all digital learning solutions.

The post holder will lead a team and will, when required, manage external suppliers in the provision of system upgrades and development releases. This post has responsibilities for continually improving database performance and maintaining their data quality and integrity, namely accuracy, completeness, consistency and validity.

Main duties of the job

Provision of a fit for purpose Learning Management System (LMS) that meets the needs of all employees of the Trust

Development and Maintenance of all performance reporting relating to Learning & Development activity.

To actively seek opportunities to minimise the use of local training databases across the Trust, ensuring that all L&D activity is recorded within one recognised digital platform

Project Management of all new digital learning packages whilst ensuring that they are pragmatic, varied, high quality and support Trust values and strategic objectives
