Job summary
The Intensive Care and High Dependency Units at Tunbridge Wells Hospitalare recruiting Junior Sisters/Charge Nurses - Band 6 with Intensive Care experience to join their team.
The Intensive Care department has a total of 17 modern and spacious single rooms, with 9 Intensive Care beds and 8 High Dependency beds.
The applicants should detain, or be close to, achieving a post-registration qualification in Intensive Care Nursing, including completion of Steps 2 and 3 CC3N competencies.
Main duties of the job
You should be dynamic, highly motivated, and have good communication and interpersonal skills alongside the ability to work as part of a team in order to provide high-quality evidence-based care.
This is the ideal opportunity to develop and consolidate your clinical, leadership, and managerial knowledge and skills.
The Senior Nursing team and ICU Matron will provide you with an exciting, enthusiastic, and supportive learning environment and assist you in achieving the Steps 4 CC3N Competencies, alongside other knowledge and skills required to undertake and succeed within the role.
Internal rotation to day and night shifts will be required.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.
Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please emailmtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.netif this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check atEnhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
