Job summary
This Technical Analyst vacancy is a fantastic opportunity for those working in IT/clinical/clerical (General Practices, Acute or Community Trusts) roles to help shape the future of the Kent and Medway Pathology Network.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic to uptake a new challenge and develop their skills in integrating analysers to the new Laboratory Information Management System.
This is an exciting chance to be part of this dynamic team during a time of exponential growth in Kent and Medway.
As a Technical Analyst you will engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including Pathology Network PMO staff, Pathology managers and laboratory staff, Trust corporate IT Departments and analyser suppliers, to ensure a smooth transition from the legacy LIMS integration to the new LIMS.
This role will be part of an established project team comprising project managers, subject matter experts and will have supplier support.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be part of the Kent and Medway LIMS Implementation Project Management Office (PMO) team that will manage the introduction of key components (Technical and Business Change) of the new WinPath Enterprise Laboratory Information Management System.
- The post holder will be responsible for the production of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cutover planning for existing analysers to the new LIMS.
- The Technical Analyst will work closely with laboratory teams and analyser suppliers to ensure a smooth transition from the legacy LIMS integration to the new LIMS.
- The post holder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives to provide information and analytical advice to programme and project leads.
- Communicate information and issues, including briefings and reports, to programme and project leads as required.
- Demonstrate good negotiating skills in what may be difficult, sometimes confrontational situations, and good communication; written, verbal and presentation skills.
- To support the Senior Project Manager and Analyser Workstream Lead on project and statistical information matters.
