Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join the Breast Surgical team as a Breast Clinic Coordinator.

We are looking for someone who is well organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. The applicant must have a genuine interest in Breast Cancer, be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. The applicant must be energetic, positive and hardworking , and have an ability to work at pace, to multitask and to prioritise your work.

Main duties of the job

The Breast Clinic Coordinator will form an integral part of the Breast multidisciplinary team. The applicant must draw on experience and skills to effectively communicate with patients, and clinicians and peers to support the efficient running and streamlining of Breast clinics.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

The Trust's core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.

  • Level 3 NVQ.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of working within a hospital/ NHS/public sector setting

  • Knowledge of relevant cancer treatments, interventions & terminology.
