An exciting opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic and motivated Registered nurse, with an interest in Multiple Sclerosis to join our Multiple Sclerosis (MS) team as a MS Clinical Nurse Specialist within a substantive post at MTW NHS Trust
The role is to deliver high quality specialist care and support to patients with MS.
Clinical responsibilities will include running nurse led clinics at Maidstone Hospital/OR remotely, multidisciplinary clinics bi monthly - linking in with KCH, domiciliary reviews-ordination of treatment pathways, and patient education programmes.
There have been great advances in the treatment of MS in the last few years with Disease Modifying Therapy as well as improvements in complex symptom management and palliative care. The service has recently linked in with the Medical Infusion Suite who now provide an infusion service for one of the DMT's, and the patient numbers are increasing moderately.
The successful candidate will have experience in neurology, preferable in Multiple Sclerosis and in case management. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team are essential.

Main duties of the job
- To provide MS CNS care for a caseload of patients with MS in a given catchment area:
- In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, the neurologists the other MS CNS based on the Tunbridge Wells site, be responsible for setting, monitoring and maintaining excellent standards of care for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
- To provide holistic care including symptom and relapse management and monitoring of patients on Disease Modifying Therapies.
