Job summary
We are a 9 bedded mixed unit caring for both intensive care and high dependency patients in at Maidstone Hospital. We have a vacancies for a staff nurses with recent acute care experience. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills along with an ability to work as part of a team. This is the ideal opportunity to extend your clinical skills in this area.
Please note that due to the demanding pressures on the ICU department at the moment we are unable to support Supervised Practice Nurse applications at this time.
Main duties of the job
We are a friendly supportive team, committed to delivering excellent patient care. Support of the clinical education team and a competency based induction program are available. Close links are maintained with the local universities and continuing professional development is actively encouraged.
Internal rotation to night duty and a mixture of long days are worked.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.
Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email mtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.net if this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
