Applications are also welcomed from current band 6 Pharmacists who have started their certificate in pharmacy practice/diploma and who will have 2 years post registration experience in August 2024 - who will be eligible to apply for band 6 to 7 Posts
The Trust is opening a new Kent and Medway Orthopaedic Centre in March 2024 - this will be a new 'Super-Green' building housing three laminar flow theatres, a 14-bed inpatient ward and a 10-bed day case ward. Main duties of the job
Our rotational band 7 Pharmacists will work in this new unit as one of their rotations. Other rotations include; ITU, Admissions, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, Frailty and Clinical Trials. Daily duties will include delivering a high-quality clinical service to these specialist areas.
Our Clinical Pharmacy Team strives to provide an outstanding service in medicines management and medicines optimisation, as well as supporting an effective training environment for our Foundation Pharmacists and other trainees. You will be supported to achieve agreed objectives within given deadlines and have the opportunity to develop more advanced clinical knowledge, negotiating skills and opportunities of prescribing qualification as a senior clinical pharmacist. You should also be approachable and supportive to other members of staff as you will be involved in the training of other healthcare professionals and pharmacy staff.
In addition to providing an outstanding service, we have a supportive training environment for our Foundation Pharmacists and other trainees. You will be supported to achieve agreed objectives within given deadlines and have the opportunity to develop more advanced clinical knowledge and negotiating skills as a senior clinical pharmacist. We have many opportunities for further study and to be involved in exciting projects across the Trust including sustainability projects and others..
