Job summary
Do you have experience of a senior post in an emergency / critical care environment (Band 6 or 7) ideally in Outreach, with a recognised critical care qualification?
Would you now like to develop your critical care and leadership skills and gain valuable professional development working within a supportive team across both Trust hospitals? If so a vacancy exists for a suitable applicant within the dynamic MTW Critical Care Outreach Team.
Main duties of the job
You should also have an interest in teaching, excellent communication skills, be motivated and flexible, be a strong team player and have the ability to drive practice forward.
You would be expected to work on both sites although preferences can generally be accommodated. They would also be expected to rotate onto night duty.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.
Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email mtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.net if this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)

- ENB 998 or other relevant mentoring qualification.
- Recognised Critical Care Course
- Degree qualification - or working towards a degree

- Relevant experience with inserting intravenous devices (or willingness to undertake cannulation) and IV drug administration

- Has been involved in audit & research collection
