Are you an experienced radiographer looking to showcase your forward thinking and dynamic approach to Non-Medical Referring and delivering Quality of care to Patients?
The post holder will be an experienced Radiographer who will use their clinical knowledge and experience to inform the optimal delivery of Imaging service, and aid the Operational leads in the delivery of a high standard of clinical care.
They will provide professional leadership and management for the development, monitoring and evaluation of the quality, safety and effectiveness of Non-Medical Referring, in order that the highest standards of care in imaging are provided for patients, visitors and staff.
You will need to be flexible in your approach to work and alterations in hours or times of work may be required from time to time - this will be done with consultation and negotiation. Some weekend and public holiday working will be required alongside contribution to Imaging manager on call.
Main duties of the job
- Key stakeholder in devising a robust Non-Medical Referrers database.
- Upkeep of Non-Medical Referrers Database.
- Ensuring ongoing training of Non-Medical Referrers.
- Develop protocols specifying the rationale, nature and scope of non-medical referral practice for each group of referrers.
- Reviewing existing policies that govern referral criteria for Non- Medical Referrers and writing new policies as the need arises.
- Actively participating in radiation related audits and preparing necessary action plans
- Assisting Radiation Safety Lead (Non-medical) with necessary and relevant workload.
