Job summary

To undertake a structured competency-based training programme in order to develop the knowledge and skills required to become a band 3 Pharmacy Assistant in Aseptic Services.

To work as part of the Pharmacy Aseptic Team in providing an efficient, effective and safe pharmaceutical Aseptic service to patients and UHL staff, in accordance with departmental and Trust standards and procedures.

Main duties of the job

This post is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of our Aseptic team. We are looking for someone with a professional outlook and dedication to providing a high standard service.

This is a fixed term two-year training and development post beginning at a band 2 grade and allowing for entry without previous pharmacy experience or a NVQ level 2. On successful completion of the pharmacy NVQ level 2 course, you will move to a permanent band 3 role.

The role will be interesting and varied during your training and will include assisting with stock control, cleaning and maintenance of the department and monitoring of the environment and equipment.
