Job summary

The Business Analyst Specialist (BAS) is an essential member of the Procurement and Supplies Department and responsible for the production, development and promotion of a range of statistical information for the Team along with associated services to enable improved productivity and efficiency.

Work with Procurement & Supplies staff to ensure accurate recording of procurement & supplies data. Provide accurate analysis of efficiency and productivity on a regular basis for all users. This will require detailed analysis of many variables and as such you will be required to build credibility for analyses for procurement and P2P data

Main duties of the job

  • Provide statistical complex information in easy to understand graphic formats to inform category purchasing strategies when developing contracts and frameworks in collaboration with Procurement and Supplies or third party procurement or logistics bodies.
  • Mapping current and potential procurement and supplies business processes to cover the whole Purchase 2 Pay process, making recommendations to improve procurement process across the trust.
  • Create, develop and sustain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Presentation of data sets to clinical and non-clinical teams in an effective and confident way requiring the use of highly developed interpersonal skills to build strong effective working relationships inside and outside the Trust/CMGs.
  • Assist in the development and implementing of project plans to include benefit realisation plans to ensure the successful delivery of benefits. Provide advice to individual project teams on collecting, reporting, analysing and using collected data, sharing learning and teaching tools and techniques to improve individual's skill in using information effectively within the Trust/CMGs.
